I’ve got another beautiful wedding venue for you to explore! As a Charlottesville wedding photographer, I’m on the lookout for stunning and unique locations for the perfect wedding spot! With a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a lot of fresh, country air, The Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn is a great choice for any couple.
The Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn can accommodate big families, even if family members live really far away. It’s just outside of Middleburg, VA–only 40 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, an hour from Washington, D.C., and 20 minutes from the Dulles International Airport. Because of the acreage and amenities on the property, they can also house up to 32 guests overnight, so your family members don’t have to worry about driving from hotel to venue on your big day.
The venue itself is a historic farm with three different buildings: an event hall, a main house, and a small, one room cottage. Couples have the option of six different ceremony locations, four of them outdoors. The main event hall, called the Fox Den, has a full caterer’s kitchen and can house 200 people for dinner and dancing.
Inside, the buildings have high ceilings, prominent stonework, and exposed wood beaming. Warm, focal point fireplaces are in all the major rooms. I especially love the stained glass sconces! The outdoor locations around the property feature the lovely historic buildings, country fencing, and a beautiful backdrop of trees, lovely in any season.
This venue really is all in one; if you reserve over a weekend, you can have your rehearsal dinner Friday night next to the pool. Saturday’s cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception can all be held in the Fox Den event hall. The cottage often doubles as the bridal suite.
As far as the details go, the venue has three different sets of tables and chairs available for use (gold, wood, or white), depending on the location of the ceremony. Some decorations, including wedding arches, are available at no extra cost. There is plenty of available parking and free WiFi.
But here’s the stuff that really puts Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn a cut above the rest:
My work with outdoor wedding photography makes me a great choice for this country venue. I’m already picturing your big night, you and your fiance dancing at your reception under the stars…
