Something I loved about this engagement session with Meagan and Nick was the amount of fun we had during it! Not only did we get some Blue Ridge Overlook engagement photos, but we also visited a cidery and a resort for warm cozy vibes and a bit of adventure. Let me tell you all about it!
The Blue Ridge Mountains are the best thing that western Virginia offers! From rolling peaks to lush woods, and of course the blue smoky skies. As a Charlottesville wedding photographer I love getting the opportunity to photograph any type of session in these mountians. And lucky for my there aer tons of options for overlooks!
Along the Blue Ridge Parkway, drivers will encounter over two hundred pull-offs offering expansive, stunning vistas that invite them to pause and soak in the scenery. Many of these overlooks feature picnic tables, trails, or other amenities, but what sets them apart is the unparalleled, sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountain ranges that make each stop irresistible.
For a list of overlooks visit virtual blue ridge here.
Another gem of Virginia is Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery. With craft cider, cocktails, and carve-worthy food, this Cidery is a must for your itinerary in the mountains! Meagan and Nick made the most of their engagement photos by adding in a few stops to curate a date night during their session. This was great for a larger variety of backdrops and made the evening full of memories for them!
For more intimate a cozy vibes, we swung by the Wintergreen Resort! Mountain views, a gorgeous stone fireplace, and tempting amenities. Not only is this resort great for Blue Ridge Overlook engagement photos, but it is also a wonderful choice for a quick getaway in the mountains. Spas, dining, shops and more! You can even host an event at the resort for your many bridal parties and showers.
