There are some wedding days that just feel meant to be — and Zoey and Brandon’s celebration at Seven Springs was one of them. The historic venue located 20 miles north of Richmond in King William County was the perfect setting full of classic charm and canopies of magnolias. In the first week of October, golden light, crisp air, and the warmth of loved ones created the most perfect fall day.
From the very beginning, Zoey and Brandon knew they wanted their wedding to feel timeless and undeniably them. Zoey and Brandon met in high school and got engaged in breathtaking Hawai’i. After almost a decade together, they created the perfect wedding day.

Laughter and happy tears filled the morning as she got ready with her bridesmaids. When it came time for her first look, the emotions were high — first with her bridesmaids, and then with Brandon. Their connection was so evident from the moment they saw each other; it was impossible not to smile behind the camera.
Afterward, they chose to read their vows privately, away from the crowd. As a photographer, moments like this are my favorite — the quiet in-between where two people get to just be together. Zoey teared up as she read her vows, and Brandon listened with that unmistakable look of love. It was intimate, heartfelt, and beautifully them.

The front lawn of Seven Springs made the perfect backdrop for their wedding party portraits — laughter, love, and a few twirls from the bridesmaids that made everyone smile. For the couple’s portraits, we used the ceremony space and the open fields, taking full advantage of that stunning Virginia sunset. The light wrapped around them like a warm hug, and every frame felt cinematic.

Every detail reflected who they are as a couple, each one chosen with intention. Zoey looked radiant in her gown from Ava Laurenne Bride, while Brandon looked sharp in his Jos. A. Bank suit. Her hair and makeup by FBJ brought out her natural beauty effortlessly, and their elegant rings from Sarah O. Jewelry and Ulman’s Jewelry shimmered under the soft evening lights. Zoey’s stepmom officiated the ceremony, adding a deeply personal touch that brought everyone to tears. Music by Kenny Barnes of Unite DJs kept the energy high all night, and their stationery from Zola tied everything together with classic, timeless design.

As the sun dipped below the trees, Zoey and Brandon joined their guests inside to dance the night away. The reception was filled with joy, love, and endless movement on the dance floor. The room buzzed with energy — and it was clear that every detail, from the florals by Stellar Blooms to the mouthwatering food from Deep Run Roadhouse, came together perfectly under the coordination of the incredible team at Seven Springs.
One of my favorite moments came at the very end of the night — a private last dance before the sparkler exit. Zoey and Brandon swayed together, just the two of them, soaking in every emotion before heading out into a tunnel of sparklers held high by their family and friends. Before they made their grand exit, we captured one big photo of everyone who lined up outside — a new idea that turned out to be one of the most meaningful shots of the night.
Their day wasn’t just about saying “I do.” It was about celebrating who they are, the journey that brought them here, and the beautiful future ahead. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford — it was an honor to capture your love story.
