As a Charlottesville wedding photographer one of my all time favorite outdoor wedding venues is Showalter’s Orchard & Greenhouse. It is both elegant and modern, while remaining timeless in location and architecture. In addition, this Greenhouse Wedding Venue in Virginia proved to be the perfect spot for Abbie and Dean to share so many special moments on their wedding day. I can’t wait to share with you about this stunning venue as well as a few ideas to add sentiment to your big day!
Located in northern Virginia in the town of Timberville is Showalter’s Orchard & Greenhouse. The Showalter’s originally would host friends and family on their property, which led them to share the space with other couples as they were reminded of just how special the land is. The venue continues to add value through renovations. For example, the greenhouse was redesign and renovated to cater to large wedding parties. All this while providing the best view of Shenandoah Valley!
Check out Sydney and Chad’s wedding at this same stunning north Virginia wedding venue!
Your wedding day is so much more than a celebration with divine catering and regal decor. It is the moment you begin your legacy for future generations to admire. It is a day to create memories that will last a life time! Planning sentimental moments for your wedding day will elevate your wedding experience, as well as make for some precious photo opts. Here are some of my favorite sentimental moments from Abbie and Dean’s wedding, and how you can incorporate them into your big day.
Before their wedding ceremony Abbie and Dean read love notes that they wrote for each other. This was a beautiful way for the couple to connect with one another without ruining the magic of their first look at their ceremony. When writing a letter to your soon to be spouse, consider writing it before your wedding day. The morning of your wedding is full of emotions making it a wonderful time to write a love note. However, with so much going on it may be better to write your note the night before when you have more time and quiet moments.
First looks are trending and for good reason! It is a special moment that you get to have with your fiance, parent, or even bridesmaids before the wedding. It can help to calm any nerves you have, as well as help you reconnect with your favorite people! Abbie had a first look with her dad and it was such a beautiful moment. They met in a garden of their Greenhouse Wedding Venue in Virginia, which was the perfect location for this tender moment!
My favorite part of any wedding day has to be the bridals. As a Charlottesville wedding photographer I have found that the time we take to do bride and groom portraits can be some of the most meaningful time between the couple on their wedding day. Typically I will pull you away after your ceremony while your guests attend cocktail hour. During this time you are able to let the high of your ceremony settle and reconnect as a couple. Creating a sacred experience this time can give you a personal and sentiment touch to your wedding.
