Shenandoah National Park is one of Virginia’s greatest wonders! From the scenic drives, to the stunning views. Everything about this mountainous location is perfect for an intimate elopement or large celebratory wedding! Here are some of my favorite Shenandoah Valley wedding venues as a Charlottesville wedding photographer.
Showalter’s Orchard & Greenhouse is one of my favorites of all the Shenandoah Valley Wedding Venues. It is located in northern Virginia in the town of Timberville. The greenhouse was redesign and renovated to cater to large wedding parties while providing the best view of Shenandoah Valley. And their large lawn is perfectly manicured to set up natural rental chairs, a wedding arch and any other table of florals you decide on for your Virginia wedding! Learn more about Showalter’s here.
Located in the heart of Shenandoah Valley is an amazing new wedding venue. East View Farms and Venue features a rustic barn that sits in the middle of a 45 acre private property. Offering you a rural sanctuary for a serene wedding day with mountain views and rolling hayfields. Learn more about East View Farms here.
Murray Hill Events is located in Leesburg, Virginia, overlooking the Potomac River and Catoctin Mountain Range. It is a perfect location for couples from DC who are looking for a more rural atmosphere. As well as an affordable destination wedding location with old world charm. The architecture of the stone mansion is grand, with darling gardens surrounding the natural landscape. Learn more about Murray Hill here.
Just an hour north-west of Charlottesville, in the little town of MT. Solon. Making it an ideal location for a Shenandoah wedding in the mountains. With fresh open fields, stunning views and a rustic charm. Featuring panoramic sunset views of the Allegheny Mountains, you will find beauty around every corner. And their darling rustic barn, as well as their outdoor spaces, are wonderful to entertain your guests. Learn more about Mountain View Farm here.
Oak Creek Farm is about an hour northeast of Charlottesville and is nestled into a charming valley. You will be especially impressed with how beautifully kept this farm is with its red barn reception space, white fences and stunning pastures. In addition, you can get up close and personal with their livestock for some amazing wedding photos! Learn more about Oak Creek Farm here.
Right outside of Middleburg, VA–only 40 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, an hour from Washington, D.C., and 20 minutes from the Dulles International Airport, is Briar Patch. The venue itself is a historic farm with three different buildings: an event hall, a main house, and a small, one room cottage. Couples have the option of six different ceremony locations, four of them outdoors. The main event hall, called the Fox Den, has a full caterer’s kitchen and can house 200 people for dinner and dancing. Learn more about Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn here.
This Shenandoah Valley wedding venue is just about 30 minutes out from Charlottesville. After the drive, the view opens up to a white barn set in the middle of green grass, surrounded by mountains and evergreen trees. Making for great portraits, and the barn itself is beautiful too! The barn has bistro lighting, and plenty of small windows. In addition, there are rolling doors open up for fresh mountain air during your event. Learn more about Lydia’s Barn here.
